Disrespect Knows Black Women Too Well

For the longest time I would get my hair braided by this awesome Mozambican lady named Olga, she is what I would call a street-hairstylist, meaning she would literally braid people’s heads on the side of the road, you would have to wash and dry your hair at home because that’s a service you would definitely not get but best believe you would leave there looking all sorts of good.
So I’d be sitting there for hours on end getting my hair done and every time, without fail, when the clock struck 12, these ladies that worked for these Chinese shops would come over and vent to Olga about their horrific working conditions but the most unfortunate part of it all was that they had no other option but stay and tolerate the abuse and peanuts for pay-cheques.
These women would be forced to work unbelievably long hours, they would get payed very low wages, in-fact I never really understood how they survived with wages that low. They would get accused of stealing stock and the consequence for that was physical abuse for some and on top of that their employers would deduct some money from their wages to replace the "alleged" stolen goods without conducting any concrete investigations.
Now imagine how desperate you have to be to deal with such working conditions and the fact that these women couldn't speak up for themselves is a problem, speaking up for yourself would result in unemployment in most cases...a very massive South African issue.
These Asians prey on desperate black women, foreign black women, women coming from impoverished backgrounds, women that have nowhere else to go, I would also like to mention that Asian people have a history of displaying racism and disrespect towards black people, so it makes all the sense in the world why they would pick black women.
In South Africa we have laws that are meant to protect these very people, but how does the law protect them when we have arrogant business owners that ignore those laws and how does the law protect people that know nothing about it.
Black women are the most disrespected people on the face of this earth and that needs to be met with rage.
If anyone knows anything about South Africa is that it is the land of the racists, this is where they come to thrive and that too needs to be met with rage.
